XOLB inks are high opacity multi-purpose inks designed for thin film opaque printing. The smooth creamy consistency leaves an even uniform color on white flash bases and can be opaque on black without a white base with screens as fine as 160 mesh. XOLB inks are fast flashing, cure with a non-tack surface, and contain clean bright pigments.
Recommended cure temperature is 325 degrees F for 60 to 90 seconds, depending on oven type and thickness of ink deposit. When cured, these inks have a smooth matte finish with even color. Shorter cure times may be practical in specific situations but long term wash durability will be reduced.
Finer screens may be used with XOLB inks to achieve opacity with a minimum ink film thickness. Monofilament 83T to 200T are recommended for easy ink passage. Taut screens are also recommended (above 20 newtons).
Light squeegee pressure is recommended with 60 durometer if thicker ink film is desired. Harder, sharper squeegees will deposit less ink for fine detail. Squeegee pressure is less important when screens are taut (above 20 newtons).
