Dye Based Transparent Colors
Concentrated. Reduce 1:1 with 4004 Transparent Base when painting large surfaces.
Apply in very light coats. 5-7 coats required for finish when painting large surfaces.
Apply over a base of 4100 Series Aluminum Base, 4330 & 4331 Metallic White or 4332 Metallic Silver. Apply over other base colors, such as 4333 Metallic Gold, for completely different candied finishes.
Mix direct with 4500 Series Hot Rod or Cosmic Sparkle™ Colors for true candy-pearl finishes.
Candy Colors are sensitive to direct contact. Do not tape directly over. Top coat with a urethane inter-coat clear prior to taping on. 4004 Transparent Base can substitute for the urethane inter-coat but does not protect as well.
Candy Colors can be very difficult to work with, especially for first time Auto Air Colors users. A test panel prior to actual paintjob is recommended.

Mini-Spray Gun: 0.8mm - 1.0mm tip
Airbrush: 0.3mm or larger
Reduce: Spray-gun: @ 10% per volume with 4011 Flash Reducer
Airbrush: @ 30% per volume or more with 4011 Flash Reducer
Flash Reducer added after Candy Colors is mixed with 4004 Transparent Base.
